僕の住んでいる地域、ナショナルトラストのガーデンのなかで、スタウアヘッドと並んでお気に入りなのが、このダラム パークなんだ。

ここも、年間を通じて開園しているから、どっちの庭もよく訪れるよ。

17世紀の豪邸とガーデン、そして、鹿の公園がある。

今日来てみたら、リニューアルの真っ最中。

たくさんのお金を使って屋根の改修工事をしている。そのうちその写真もブログに載せるからね。

すごく寒いけど、撮影にはいい天気。

最初の写真は建物に向かうアプローチ。

手前のガーデンは植え込み作業中だから、夏にはどんなふうになっているか、またチェックしよう。

Stourhead and Dyrham Park are two of my favorite National Trust gardens in my local area. They are open throughout the year and I visit both quite often. Dyrham Park is a 17th Century mansion, garden and deer park.

Today I went to check Dyrham Park which is undergoing a huge renewal. They have just spent millions on the roof of the house which I will be showing you in a future blog.

It was a very cold day, but good for photographs.

The first photo shows the house an approach. The gardens are being planted now so let's check again in the summer.

改修中の足場を取り外しているところだから、大きなお屋敷の新しい屋根が見えるね。

They are removoing the scaffolding and we can see the new roof on this huge house.

湖と教会のある景色

湖には、ウォーターカスケードから水が供給されている。

このスロープのところは、特別な草刈機が使われるんだって。

The lake is filled from the water cascade. A special lawn mower is used to cut the grass on the slopes.
