前に訪ねたことのあるジェーンの庭は、この6月にはどう違っているのかを見たくてもう一度行ってみた。　
雨もよく降ったし、気温も上がってきたので庭はよく育っていた。

I made a second visit to Jane's garden to see how different it would be in June.

The garden is growing well, very lush partly due to the many rainy days and warmer temperatures.

ジェーンは、すべての庭仕事を全部一人でこなしているんだ。
年をとってきたから、庭をきれいに保つのはだんだん難しくなってきたと話していたよ。

Jane does all the garden work by herself. She told me that as she gets older it's getting more difficult to keep it looking nice.

それから、バックガーデンの裏側にある学校を隠すための大きなスクリーン(生垣）を作っていた。

She is also developing a large hedge / screen to block out the school which is behind her back garden.

生垣が出来て、すっかりプライベートな空間になったから、ジェーンはよく外に出て読書したり、リラックスしているそうだよ。

The hedges give all round privacy so Jane will often sit outside to read or relax.
