ダラムハウス＆パークはもともと1956年に解体の予定だった。　
そこで我らがナショナル・トラストNational Trustの登場となる。
彼らはこの価値ある土地・建物を買い、膨大な資金を投じて建物と庭の修復を行ったんだよ。

現在行われている屋根の修復には総工費7億円もかかるそうだよ。
足場を述べにすると60kmの長さになり、それを解体するには5人が3か月間もかかるということだ。　ふぅ！

Dyrham house and park was going to be demolished in 1956. This is where we see the advantage of the National Trust. They bought it and have spent a hige amount of money on renovations in the house and the gardens.

The current roof work will cost about 700million yen. There is over 60km of scaffolding and it will take 5 workers 3 months to remove.

2度目に行ったときには修復が進んでいる様子が見て取れたよ

On my second visit we could see the progress.
